Actually, those of us with physical brick comics have similar issues waiting for packages with new parts and then spending too long playing with… uh… building stuff for our comics.
Isn’t that the way with hobbies? That was one of the things the writers I used to work with hated about me; sometimes it was just more fun to draw dancing french fries or wombat paratroopers than the stuff I was supposed to be drawing. 🙂
Yeah…. or even though I’ve built a set, technicals are getting in the way.
When do wombat paratroopers make their debut???
Also, what is the name of the store in the last panel… Merry maid?
You never know, Bri’! The Wombat 101 Airborne may yet be called in to save the day! And yes, that is a Merry Maid ice cream sign! You may recall Penny did a short stint at one of their stores. In fact, the crew are fleeing past the corporate HQ…
Hahaha. Did you do that drawing in the first panel? That’s pretty good. 🙂
I did! Thanks… That’s a character sketch of an earlier version of Penny for my novel I was writing. I used to draw a lot more than I do now :(. And write, too, I guess… I’d post the unfinished (of course!) novel, but I’m busy combing it for ideas for the strip 😉
I agree the penny sketch looks great up top.
